]]> By: cari http://www.courtneyolson.com/2010/07/the-things-we-have-in-common/#comment-169 cari Mon, 26 Jul 2010 13:48:19 +0000 http://www.courtneyolson.com/?p=357#comment-169 i'm so glad that you're finding awesome friends down there. and to find one so much like yourself. honestly, girl, i can't imagine how hard this past YEAR has been on you. leaving everyone and everything you know to go to a place where you don't know anyone. then, to begin feeling homesick but still wanting so desperately to chase your dream. you are a strong woman, stronger than a lot of people. and buying a disney coloring book after a breakup CERTAINLY doesn't make you any less strong. you know what makes you feel better. you're learning how to cope and deal with real life on much larger and probably much different terms than you would like. it's hard to have to grow up so much, so fast, and honestly, so alone. i mean, yeah, you know people down there. you hang out with them and stuff, but how many are soul bearing friends? at least now, you definitely have one. you are an amazing woman, my dear courtney, and i hope you never lose sight of that. i hope you always remember that. you deserve only the best in everything: friends, work, music, men (probably in that order, too). i love you, girl. i’m so glad that you’re finding awesome friends down there. and to find one so much like yourself.
